SHIFTS ARE THE FOLLOWING:
Night Shift : Wednesday – Saturday 6pm to 6am
pay range : 34.54 – 44.54
Shift Differential is $1.50/hr. from 6pm to 6am
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Equipment Maintenance:
o Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery, including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.
o Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production requirements.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
o Respond promptly and provide emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during the manufacturing process to prevent disruptions to production.
· Facility Maintenance:
o Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
o Monitor and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to support a safe and comfortable working environment.
· Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
o Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GMP, HACCP, OSHA) and company policies related to food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
· Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and inventory management.
o Document equipment repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance procedures to track equipment history and performance.
· Collaboration and Communication:
o Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
o Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and safety personnel, to address maintenance issues and implement solutions.
o Provide technical assistance and training to production staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
· Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED, required.
· Technical school education, preferred.
· 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
· 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting/repairs on PLC, relay logic and logic controllers, 480v, 220v, 110v AC single/three phase and DC systems.
· Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
· Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, drives, and industrial sensors.
· Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new technologies as needed.
· Ability to perform mechanical repairs that include hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
· Ability to operate a computer to support and record documentation in our computer maintenance management system.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
· Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
· Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.
· Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
